MIND WILL TRY TO LESSEN THE TIME OF MEDITATION BY GIVING A FUTILE JUSTIFICATION. IF IT SUCCEEDS, THEN THE NEXT DAY IT WILL TRY ITS BEST TO FURTHER REDUCE IT. SOMETIMES A PERSON DROWSES WHILE CHANTING MANTRA ON ROSARY. MIND GETS TIRED OF CONCENTRATING ON ONE POINT AN DOF MONOTONOUS REPETITION OF THE SAME MANTRA. IT FINDS EASY TO SLIP IN THE SLEEP THAN TO STAY FOCUSED ON THE MANTRA. THE BEST WAY TO AVOID SUCH SITUATION IS BY STARTING CHANTING THE MANTRA LOUDLY OR STARTING CHANTING THE MANTRA WHILE STANDING. IF DROWSINESS OCCURS THEN ONE CAN SPLASH WATER IN FACE, CAN DO BREATHING EXERCISE OR DO SARVANGASANA OR SHIRSHASANA FOR A FEW MINUTES. THIS WILL MAKE THE MIND ALERT.




EGO 







EGO MEANS WHATEVER I AM SAYING IS CORRECT. WHAT OTHRES ARE SAYING IS WRONG. WHATEVER WAY I HAVE CHOSEN IS THE ONLY RIGHT PATH. THIS HOUSE, CAR, WIFE, CHILDREN, STATUS AND MONEY ARE MINE. I WANT TO DOMINATE. I WANT TO SEEK ATTENTION FROM OTHERS. I WISH THAT OTHERS PRAISE ME FOR WHAT I HAVE DONE. I CAN'T BEAR THE CRITICISM OR ANY OTHER SORT FOR DISAPPROVAL FROM OTHERS. I KNOW EVERYTHING AND OTHERS KNOW NOTHING. I AM SUPERIOR AND OTHERS ARE INFERIOR. I CAN'T FORGET AND I CAN'T FORGIVE. EGO IS MUCH MORE DANGEROUS THAN NEGATIVE EMOTIONS LIKE ANGER, LUST AND GREED. IT IS THE ATTACHMENT WITH THIS MERE BODY WHICH CREATES SO MUCH PEOPLE IN ONE'S MIND.




LACK OF FAITH


 




WHEN WE ARE HAPPY HAVE FIRM BELIEFF IN GOD'S PRESENCE AND LOSE IT AS SOON AS ANY SORROW COMES IN OUR LIVES. LACK OF FAITH IS DISCOURAGING AND IS DANGEROUS OBSTACLES IN THE PATH OF GOD REALIZATION. AS DISCOURAGING THOUGHTS ENTER THE MIND ONE IMMEDIATELY STOPS WORSHIPPING GOD AND PRACTISING MEDITATION. WITHOUT ANY DELAY. ONE SHOULD PUT A CHECK ON THEM AND SHOULD  CONTINUE WORSHIPPING GOD AND PRACTISING MEDITATION EVEN IF ONE'S MIND DOESN'T WANT TO. WITH TIME. NEGATIVE THOUGHTS WILL SETTLE DOWN AND ONE WILL HAVE MORE FIRM BELIEF IN GOD.




NEVER LOSE FAITH IN GOD. WHATEVER, HE DOES IS THE BEST  FOR US. OUR MIND IS LIMITED BUT GOD'S MIND IS INFINITE.




FEEL THE PRESENCE OF GOD IN EVERY HUMAN BEING, ANIMAL, TREE, PLANT, FLOWER, FRUIT, STONE, RIVER, MOUNTAIN, SEA, SUN, MOON, EARTH, FIRE, AND SKY.  GOD IS THERE IN EACH AND EVERY PARTICLE. GOD IS OMNIPRESENT, IT IS US WHO HAVE TO FEEL HIS PRESENCE.




ALL THESE OBSTACLES LIKE ANGER, GREED, LUST, JEALOUSY, HYPOCRISY, ATTACHMENT AND EGO CAN BE OVERCOME ONLY WHEN ONE REALISE THAT THEY ARE ONE'S WEAKNESS. THE EASIEST WAY TO ERADICATE THEM IS TO FIN OUT THE WEAKNESS WHICH IS THE BIGGEST HINDRANCE IN THE PATH. CONCENTRATE TO ERADICATE THAT WEAKNESS. PUT EFFORTS TO ELIMINATE IT. SLOWLY THERE WILL BE REDUCTION IN THAT. WHEN ONEIS FULLY SURE THAT IT IS REMOVED THEN MOVES ON THE NEXT OBSTACLES.
