COSY QUILT AND WELL FURNISHED ROOM WOTHALL LUXURIES. SLEEP COMES NATURALLY. ONE FALLNS INTO IT . SIMILARY MEDITATION COMESBY ITSELF. IT REQUIRES REGULARITY AND PATIENCE. THE NEW COMERS SHOULD FOLLOW CERTAIN POINTS IN SELECTION OF PLACE, TIME AND POSTURE FOR GOOD RESULTS. MENTAL ATTITUDE, FOOD HABITS AND ENVIRONMENT COUNTIN THE BEGINNING.
A BEGINNER SHOULD KEEP THE FOLLOWING POINTS INMIND WHILE DOING MEDITATION FOR ACHIEVING BETTER AND EXCELLENT RESULTS IN MEDITATION. THE SELECTION OF PLACE, TIME AND POSTURE SHOULD BE DONE CORRECTLY TO ACHIEVE QUICK AND GOOD RESULTS.
PLACE
FOR PRACTICING MEDITATION, BEGINNERS SHOULD SELECT THE ROOM IN THED NORTH, EAST OR NORTH - EAST CORNER OF THE HOUSE OR BUILDING. ONE SHOULD AVOID DOING MEDITATION IN THE ROOMS SITUATED IN SOUTH. WEST OR SOUTH-WEST CORNER OF THE HOUSE OF BUILDING. WHILE MEDITATING ONE SHOULD FACE TOWARDS NORTH. THIS IS THE BEST DIRECTION FOR DOING MEDITATION. ONE CAN ALSO FACE EAST SHOULD NOT FACE SOUTH WHILE MEDITATING.
TIME
CLOCK OR WATCH IN YOUR HOUSE SHOULD BE WORKING PROPERLY AS IN THE BEGINNING ONE NEEDS TO DO MEDITATION EVERYDAY AT THE SAME TIME. THE BEST TIME FOR CONCENTRATING THE MIND IS BRAHMAMUHURTA. FROM 4 A.M TO 6 A.M.
AT THAT TIME, EVERYTHING IS SILENT IN THE UNIVERSE AND ONE IS AWAKEN FRESH AFTER SLEEPING THE WHOLE NIGHT. THE DUSK AND DAWNARE EXCELLENT TIMES. ONE CAN DO MEDITATION AT ANY TIME WHICH IS CONVENIENT AND CAN PRACTICE IT REGULARLY AT THE SAME TIME.

POSTURE
THE SPINE, NECK AND HEAD SHOULD BE ALIGNED STRAIGHT IN A LINE WHILE MEDITATING. SUKHASANA, PADKASANA, VRIKSHASANA, SHIRASHASANA ARE GOOD OPTIONS.
TRY TO RELAX MUSCLES OF YOUR BODY. ONE SHOULD EXHALE OUT TWO OR THREE BREATHS THINKING. "I AM THROWING OUT ALL THE NEGATIVITY INSIDE ME. NOW I WILL THINK ONLY ABOUT GOD AND WHATEVER THOUGHT COMES TO MY MIND WILL BE OF GOD".
CHANGES IN EATING HABITS
"EAT TO LIVE, AND DON'T LIVE TO EAT".
DO NOT EAT TOO MUCH OR TOO LESS. EAT FOOD IN MODERATE QUANTITY THAT IS EASILY DIGESTIBLE. AVOID EATING HOT AND PUNGENT SPICES, GARLIC AND ONION. ALCOHOL DRINKING, SMOKING, DRUGS, BLACK TEA AND COFFEE SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN BY THE SPIRITUAL ASPIRANTS. MEAT, PRECOOKED, STALE FOODS, OVER RIPE FRUITS, FRIED FOODS, MAIDA PRODUCTS, PROCESSED AND CANNED FOODS SHOULD BE AVOIDED.
A SPIRITUAL ASPIRANT SHOULD EAT LIGHT FOOD WHICH IS EASILY DIGESTIBLE LIKE RICE, SIMPLE DAL, KHICHDI, PORRIDGE, CURD, BUTTERMILK, BUTTER, MILK, FRESH FRUIT AND VEGETABLES. SALAD AND SPROUTS SHOULD BE TAKEN IN GOOD AMOUNT. ONE SHOULD NOT DO OVEREATING AS IT WILL DISTURB THE MIND WHILE CONCENTRATING.
POINT OF FOCUS WHILE
MEDITATING
FOCUS ON HIGHER GOALS INSTEAD OF FOOD, FABRIC, AND FURNITURE. FOCUS MIND ON GOD THAN ANYTHING ELSE.
WHILE MEDITATING. ONE CAN FOCUS ON VARIOUS CENTRES WITHIN BODY. THERE ARE SEVEN CHAKRAS IN THE BODY ON WHICH ON CAN CONCENTRATE. MOST OF THE SPIRITUAL ASPIRANTS CONCENTRATE ON SIXTH CHAKRA - THE SPACE BETWEEN EYEBROWS. THE OBJECT OF FOCUS IS VISUALIZED IN THE SPACE BETWEEN THE EYEBROWS. SOME ASPIRANTS FOCUS ON FOURTH CHAKRA - THE SPACE IN THE CENTRAL CHANNEL IN THE SPINE BETWEEN THE LUNGS AT HEART.
IT IS DIFFICULT TO CONCENTRATE THE MIND. IF ONE ASKS THE MIND NOT TO THINK ABOUT A PARTICULAR OBJECT, THE MIND IS SO MISCHIEVOUS THAT IT WILL DEFINITELY THINK ABOUT IT. MIND IS VERY NAUGHTY AND VERY DIFFICULT TO CONTROL.

EVERY BODY HAS ITS OWN WORLD OF THOUGHTS. THERE ARE POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE THOUGHTS. THROUGH THE PRACTICE OF JAPA OF MANTRA, PRANAYAMA AND YOGA ALONG WITH READING SACRED BOOKS ONE CAN FILL MIND WITH PURE AND POSITIVE THOUGHTS AND ERADICATE IMPURE THOUGHTS FROM MIND.
MEDITATION IS A TECHNIQUE TO HAVE A FULL CONTROL OVER MIND. IT TRAINS MIND TO WORK WITHOUT GETTING TENSED, STRESSED, TIRED AND AGED. IT KEEPS THE MIND CHEERFUL, PEACEFUL, CALM, SERENE AND YOUNG AS THERE IS INCRESE OF GREY MATTER. MOST IMPORTANTLY IT HELPS ONE TOBE PEACEFUL IN TURBULENT TIMES.
